Happy things and bad things

Okay, first the happy news...... I have a new baby brother. Daddy rescued him yesterday afternoon, we think he is around 1 month old, and just the cutest little ball of fluff (not as cute as me though).
Such a cute little lop

He's got a cool racing stripe

Cuddling with daddy
Oh, his name is Luke Skyhopper. I think daddy has gone way to far with this Star Wars thing.

Now, on to the bad thing, last night we had a major flood in our apartment, what it meant was that we had to use our evacuation plan that we had put in place after the ice storm last year. Our plan sort of went off the rails right away, my granty is dealing with bedbugs, so we couldn't go there. My two human cousins and their parents are staying with my grandma and grandpa, so WAY to crowded there. There were only two more options, one was to sleep out on the street, not a good option. So that left mommy Louise, thankfully she came through for us again. She paid for a taxi down to her place, and then found us a hotel for us to stay in overnight, and paid for it too.
By the time we had gotten checked in and up to our room, daddy wasn't feeling well. Mommy Louise got me settled in, then tended to daddy. He was going into heat stroke, she stayed for a few hours and nursed daddy back to health.
This morning daddy got me my medications, then let me explore the bed for a bit. Until I decided to jump down and explore the floor, for which I ended up back in my playpen.
Me disapproving of being put back into my pen

Last night we could see the CN Tower

Checking out the bed

Lots of room on this one

Of course it's the first bed I ever got to explore.

That's the head board

Wonder what's over here.
Daddy doesn't know where we are going to stay tonight, our apartment is unlivable. The rest of the gang are fine, for now, but there isn't much else daddy can do. I'm afraid he is going to have a panic attack, and won't recover from it this time.

I am home

Yesterday I went to the vet so he could see what was wrong with me, there's to much to go into details. But I've got a little problem with my neck, and I have to have cream put on my neck twice a day. My teeth are the bigger trouble, I had a spur on one, and some troubles with others. For now I'm on Baytril, Metacam and Critical Care, as well as the cream. I have to go back and see Dr Munn in two weeks, and check to see that everything is healing.

Mommy Louise met us over at the vet yesterday, and it was a good thing she did, there were big problems with the transit. Thankfully she paid for me and daddy to take a taxi over there, and when they picked me up she paid for a taxi to take us home. Between those times her and daddy spent the day together, daddy even got to meet mommy Louise's two bunnies Sasha and Coco. Daddy is really happy to have found mommy Louise, she has made him really happy, which makes me really happy. I don't know what daddy is going to do when she goes away for a month, she is going to England to help with her mommy. She's promised to bring back presents for us, so at least we have something to look forward to, oh and her returning too, I guess.

Indigenous Arts Festival

Yesterday was so much fun.... except for a couple of things, more on that a little later..... Me, daddy and mommy Louise went to Fort York to see the Indigenous Arts Festival, basically it was native arts and crafts.
There was some dancing, drumming and singing. Mommy Louise got me a new pin for my stroller, and her and daddy both got bear claw necklaces. The bear is one of daddy's Spirit Animals, so the bear claw on the necklace represents his strength. The way daddy sees it, with both of them having the necklace it represents the strength of their relationship.
This is the bear claw necklace that they got

This is my new pin it says "Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nations"
This is a Shawl dancer

More two step dancing

This little one had a hard time just walking
Me, daddy and mommy Louise sat beside a big cannon, and daddy took a picture of me sitting on the cannon.
Prepare to fire the poop cannon
After this picture I got to play around under the cannon.
I needed a bath

It turns out cannons make for good shade.
Okay, now I'll tell you about the things that weren't that great. I've been getting poopy butt a few times since Dr Munn put me on Critical Care, so while we were sitting under the shade of a willow tree mommy Louise noticed that I had poopy butt. So daddy cleaned my butt, right there in public, so embarrassing. After he did that I went and hid behind mommy Louise.
I'm so embarrassed
Daddy got something to eat and drink, but the drink is what interested me. It was a juice, made with watermelon and raspberries. It smelled good so I decided daddy should share with me, he kept trying to get pictures of me drinking, but I was to quick.
to be fair, it was daddy's fault for leaving it on the ground.
Tomorrow I go see Dr Munn and get my teeth fixed, mommy Louise is going to meet us there, and then her and daddy  are going to spend the day together until I'm done. Daddy will update my blog tomorrow night to let everyone know how things went.

Get along little bunny

Yesterday daddy took me horseback riding, it was only the second time I've gotten to ride a horse, and it was just as fun as last time.
What was different this time was that daddy recorded the whole ride on video, now this ride was well over an hour long, so we had to cut it down to under 15 minutes. So what we've done is about 5 minutes each of the beginning, middle and end of the ride. And all thanks to daddy's inventiveness, our GoPro style camera and a rig daddy made.

Our horses name was Legend, and he was a very good (if a little on the goofy side) horse. We added something at the very end I thought was hilarious, but I'm not going to tell you, you'll just have to watch the whole video to find out.
And now on to some pictures.
Having a snack before going riding

This is the horse daddy wanted ride

This is daddy's view of Legend
After our ride daddy got a picture taken of us.
Me, daddy and Legend
I got to get down and play after daddy had lunch, and while I was doing that daddy cleaned my stroller. I guess I should back up a little, I've been having issues with my teeth again, so daddy and mommy Louise took me to see Dr Munn. I've got an appointment on Tuesday to have my teeth looked at again. But because I am on Metacam it sometimes gives me diarrhea, which is why daddy had to clean my stroller.
Gotta clean up a bit, after daddy cleaned me

Lots of new things to see and smell (and chin)
After the bus ride back to the city I was exhausted, actually so was daddy.
I rested my cheek on daddy's hand and had a nap on the rest of the way home.
I am happy to announce that most of my vet bill has been covered, the bulk being nearly $600.00, there is still $250.00 that needs to be taken care of. My friend from Switzerland came to my rescue again, she's the one covering the big part of the bill. But Dr Munn wants to do x-rays as well, which is what the 250 is for.
If you want to donate some funds, you can find that information by going to my Facebook page, that link is at the top right of this blog. From there go to the about section of the page, and it will give you instructions on how and where to donate money.

Big update for us

I posted earlier that me and daddy were heading to see mommy Louise for a Father's day brunch, and I've told you before about her. So today we introduced her to my granty Flo, and daddy took my picture with her.
I really like her, and she likes me
I was being a real cuddle bun with everyone today.
Tomorrow mommy Louise is going to meet me and daddy at the vets, she's going to give daddy support during my appointment.
Oh and I even dressed up for our special brunch.
all dressed up for the special day.

Special daddy day

Today is a special day that we celebrate daddy's, and mine is extra special for me, so I made a list of everything daddy does for me.

  1. He keeps me safe
  2. He feeds me
  3. He plays with me
  4. He takes me on adventures
  5. He keeps me healthy (even though it means going to the V.E.T.)
  6. He gives me treats
  7. He talks to me
  8. He buys me toys
  9. He gives me a home to live in.
  10. And my top reason, He LOVES ME
My teeth have been giving me problems again, but not to worry, tomorrow I go see the vet. Although daddy says it won't be Dr Munn that we see, I think it will be the vet that I saw 2 years ago when I first started having problems with my teeth. And daddy says that our friend from Switzerland is going to help again, and there'll be a new person to be at our side this time. Daddy's new lady friend, I call her Mommy Louise.

Oh, speaking of Mommy Louise and daddy's day, she is taking us out to brunch, so daddy says I have to be extra good today. And we are going to get a picture of the three of us together, because I bet everyone would like to meet her.

That was exciting.... sort of

Today me and daddy went down to Rogers Center (Skydome), and got our ticket to the July 5th Argo's home opener.
Me with the ticket to the game, and I dressed up in my Argo jersey.

The Argo's will be taking on the Saskatchewan Roughriders
I wanted to show my Argo pride, so I got daddy to put my jersey on, and I was a big hit at the dome.
Well we were at the dome we went into the Jays Shop (it's everything Blue Jays), daddy finally found me a Jays jersey, and I really really wanted it. Daddy said it was to expensive for him to get it for me at the time, but he did compromise and got me another pin for my stroller.
This is Ace, the Blue Jays mascot.
I only have three more pins to go till I have all of the Toronto sports teams, Raptors, Rock and Toronto FC.

On our way home we had to stop to help someone. When we were waiting at the bus station, a man had fallen and hurt himself. No one was making sure he stayed still, so daddy went to his aid. A bus driver had
already reported it, and that meant the ambulance was on it's way. All daddy had to do was do a quick check, and take the mans pulse. Daddy was a little concerned because the man said he'd been drinking 2 bottles of mouthwash (some people drink mouthwash to get drunk). Well, the ambulance showed up, daddy helped load the man onto the stretcher. That was the end of daddy's involvement, and we were able to get on the next bus and come home. Since then daddy has been destressing after that incident, he doesn't like to get involved in those sorts of things unless he has no other choice, today was one of those times.

Just about one week to go til we go horsieback riding, I can't wait to go, it's going to be so much fun. Daddy is working on getting things organized, and ready to go so he's doesn't forget anything.

Horsieback update

Daddy has been trying to figure out a way to record video of our ride, without a lot of fancy rigging that might get caught in trees etc. Well, he figured it out, basically he attached some velcro to one of the brackets for my GoPro clone  camera, and he's going to wear the combat vest from his cosplay costume (which is covered in one side of velcro), and the bracket gets velcroed  on to the vest. Once we get home and edit the video, you'll be able to watch our horseback ride as if you were actually on the horse too, neat right. Tomorrow me and daddy are going to give this rig a shakedown test, just so we have time to tweak things, but I don't see there being anything wrong.

Cosplay

Okay, for those of you who aren't familiar with the term Cosplay, it means Costume Play. It is when people dressup as their favorite characters from movies, tv, comics, anime (basically if there is a character, and they wear a costume, then someone will eventually dressup as that character).
I showed you the patch daddy had gotten at ComiCON back in March, but for the new readers this is the patch I'm referring to.
This is from Star Wars
Daddy was trying to figure out how to build a costume around this patch, without having to spend a ton of money on extra stuff. Well he did figure out, I present to you daddy's new Star Wars cosplay.
This is the New Republic Special Forces Jedi trooper
This is the other version, with a blaster rifle.
These two are for a forest/jungle, such as Endor.
This one is for everywhere else
Daddy is still working on my Star Wars costume, you would think making a Star Wars themed costume for a bunny wouldn't be that hard. Apparently it is quite hard, the only things we've got for my costume so far are Lightsabers.

That was a surprise

Holy cow was that a surprise.
I found out that the surprise visitor was the nice lady that saved my furry butt twice, she paid for my vet bills the last two years. When she got there I didn't know who it was, but then daddy told me that she was our friend from Zurich, Switzerland.

Something is happening

Daddy got and rushed us out the door just now, the only thing I know for sure is that daddy got a phone call earlier, and after that he got my stroller ready. He also put me in my fancy vest, which means we are doing something really important. I don't think it's to meet our lady friend, we did that yesterday.
Well, I guess I'll find out soon.
