How I drink

Some maybe wondering how I get a drink of water when we are out and about. Well it's quite simple, in the bottom of my stroller there are two water bottles. One is just regular, but the other is quite special, see it has a built in water dish, and all we do is flip it down, squeeze water into it from the attached bottle, and viola I have water to drink.
I can use the other bottle too, I just stick my whole snout in the opening and drink that way.

One of my many nicknames

Daddy calls me his "little puppybun" because I tend to follow him everywhere around the apartment, I also circle his feet to show how much I love him.
My Superbun cape

This is the first time I ever met a horse, this was the picture featured on Daily Bunny.

Daddy is sitting near me, and you can see some of my poops near me. My poops are given to a garden group for fertilizer.
Of course I have other nicknames, like Poopasaurusrex and Poopalottamus (because of how much poop I produce). Sunny, Superbun (because of my superman cape a nice lady made me). Sgt Cilantro, that one was from one of my appearances on Daily Bunny, when I got to meet a horse nose to nose.

700 Squadron parade

As if we weren't already super busy this month there is another event to add. I don't recall if I posted, or said anything about it in my profile, but daddy is an alumni of the 700 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and his old squadron is having their annual parade on Sunday.
So we are going to that parade as well, I am after all, the honorary mascot for the alumni squadron.
The picture is of two of my pins, the top is of course the Support our troops, the other is the pin from daddy's squadron, which I proudly display on my stroller. The other picture is from when daddy was actually in the Squadron.

Doors Open 2012

Saturday May 26th and Sunday May 27th in Toronto is called Doors Open, it is where people can explore buildings around the city that are usually off limits to the general public. On Saturday me and daddy went to explore a few buildings, but were only able to do one before daddy was wore out (he's still recovering from the illness that landed him in hospital). But the building we went to see was a working fire station. This station has been around since 1905, and was built at the time when the first motorized fire trucks were coming into service.

We could have seen other buildings, but at the time daddy was getting tired, and we still had to get some groceries. Here are a few pictures from my adventure yesterday.
It was rather hot outside, so daddy put my frozen water bottle in my stroller.

Posing beside the fire truck

This is the outside of the fire station.
This is the outside of the fire station, it was taken from the city website.

One of the coloring pages we got, it's going to be for my human cousin.

Keep watching, because the next three weekends are going to be very exciting indeed. This coming weekend we are going to be going with grandma and grandpa to a trade show for people with disabilities. The next weekend after that we are going to some Highland Games (my favorite kind of event), also with grandma and grandpa. And the weekend after that is a community festival.

Traveling with stuffies

A reader asked in the comments how I choose which of my stuffed animal friends gets to travel with me.
So this blog is to answer that question.
I have several friends that travel with me, but I do have favorites.
Like Kiwi, my Koala, he is really extra special. I got him from a show I went to see with daddy, there won't be another like him ever.
Then there is Zhu (pronounced Drew), my Chinese dragon, Zhu means red in Chinese. And Klepto, my lamb friend.
Some of my other friends are Carrot the orange bunny, Billy the goat, Snowy the white bunny, and Jack Hoff the pumpkin.

Daddy's art show

Well, daddy FINALLY went out, we went to his art groups show. Daddy wasn't able to get things in time to be in the show, but we went anyway to show our support for the other artists.
On the weekend the city is going to have what is called Doors Open, this is so people can see inside buildings for free. There are quite a few that me and daddy want to see.

Getting cabin fever

Daddy and I are both getting cabin fever, its been one week since daddy got sick. Since then daddy has stayed inside getting better, but he is starting to go crazy being inside all the time, so Tuesday we are going to another of daddy's art therapy groups. We have to go if daddy wants to have any of his cartoons in the art show on Thursday, and then daddy is going to a church, not to prey, but to get his haircut. More on that in my next blog.

Daddy was sick

So I guess everyone is wondering where we disappeared to the last few days.
Well, daddy woke up Tuesday and wasn't feeling well, by 3 am Wednesday daddy was really sick. He had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, and didn't return home until late Wednesday afternoon. Daddy had a bout with stomach flu, and he is still slowly recovering.
The last few days I've been keeping a close eye on him, making sure he is getting enough to drink. At times when daddy is sleeping on the couch I sit on the floor beside him and keep watch, and jumping up on him to wake him up when it's time to take his medications.
Daddy should be better by Monday, I hope so, cause I want to go to the beach and watch the fireworks.

A special day for my daddy

Today daddy turns 40 years old, I think that's really old. We are going to have lunch with daddy's best friend and what we bunnies refer to as our Uncle Matthew. Him and daddy have been friends for a very long time, since before I was even born. As daddy tells it, they met on a beach (which is our favorite beach BTW), and became instant friends.
Uncle Matthew is kind of a neat guy, he does special effects like daddy does, and they often team up for Halloween events.
Anyway me, daddy and uncle Matthew are at the restaurant right now eating lunch, then it's off to daddy's art group, and finally home.

Oh, and hoppy birthday to my daddy, and to uncle Matthew whose birthday is tomorrow.

I'm on Daily Bunny

There is a blog called Daily Bunny, which posts cute pictures of, well, bunnies of course. Well I'm on it right now, in my carseat.

Getting treats

Today we went in search of very special breakfast stuff for daddy, we had to find Maple Butter. Daddy is allergic to nuts, so peanut butter etc, is out so daddy needs something to put on toast.
Also we bunnies need treats too, so daddy got us dandelion greens. Which is one of our all time favorite kind of green.

Seeing daddy's therapist

Today me and daddy saw his therapist, he has been doing good the last two months since we saw her. Only a few minor set backs, and we always look forward to seeing the therapist.
I kind of like her too, she always has a warm greeting and a pet on the head for me.
In other news, daddy's art group is having their annual art show in a couple of months, he should have at least two or three of his cartoons in the show, and I'm always am a big hit there.
The picture was taken while we were waiting for the therapist to come get us, so it was taken from deep inside the hospital we go to.

Groucho guest blogger

I'm Groucho Marx, Sunki's little brother. And the only other boy bunny in the house. Today I went with daddy and we got cilantro, oh and daddy got food for himself too.
We almost made it home before it started to rain, just as the bus was nearing our stop it started coming down really hard. But we always have the rain cover for the stroller, I was nice and dry but daddy got soaked haha.
The picture was taken when we were heading to do shopping, before the rain came.

Daddy's art group

Daddy goes to two art groups during the week, today it was at a hospital, tomorrow is going to be down at another place. Daddy draws cartoons of what else, bunnies. He could draw them at home, and does sometimes. But he likes going to the groups to socialize, I do too.

Sitting through a boring meeting

Today daddy and I sat though a really boring meeting, all they talked about were numbers and stuff.
Daddy said it would be fun, it wasn't, the only redeeming factor was that I got to see my great grand aunt, and got to ride the new subway train.
Oh, I guess I should mention where the meeting was at, considering it was at a very special place. We were at The Elgin and Wintergarden Theatre Centre, which turns 100 years old next year. Daddy, and to a certain extent me, volunteer there. On May 26 & 27 2012 they are going to be doing what is called Doors Open, it's where you can go into buildings that are normally off limits or that you need to pay to get into for those two days are free access. There are some really cool buildings and I love going to those buildings.
The picture shows how bored I was, I really would have loved to get down on that carpeted floor and run around and play, but daddy told me that wasn't allowed, so I tried really hard  and was good, at least until we got home.

I'm back

I took a few days off and let my sisters take over blogging for that time, so that I could rest for a bit.
Well today I was back out with daddy and my grandma doing some shopping.
I used to ride being held in daddy's arms while grandma drove. But that changed today with a carseat for pets, I got to ride by myself in the back seat.
The picture with this blog was taken as we were heading to do groceries, we were actually in motion when daddy took this.

Nattah guest blogger

Sunki is at home right now resting up for his big shopping trip with daddy and grandma tomorrow. So I got to go out with daddy on a preparation shopping trip today. He needed to get a two new pads for the strolled, and the carseat. And a bag to carry the carseat in when we aren't using it.
